When I first began working in the field of self-help my purpose was to show people how powerful they are in their world. Each one of us has the ability to influence situations and people around us just by who we are being. This remains my main objective. There’s such a gift in knowing your own power. You really do have the ability to change your world!
Perhaps you have heard someone say that dogs can smell fear. Science tells us that our bodies have a biochemical reaction to fear, stress, sadness and joy, etc. Tears of joy have a completely different structure than basal tears or tears of grief or from exposure to an onion. See the works of Rose-Lynn Fisher for more intriguing insight.
I’ll bet you’ve experienced first hand the feeling of walking into a room just after a fight. You might have even told someone later that you could feel the tension in the air. What do you really think you felt?
According to Heart Math, the first biomagnetic signal was demonstrated in 1863 in a form of measurement called a magnetocardiogram. The current science shows the magnetic field produced by the heart is more than 100 times greater in strength than the field generated by the brain and can be detected (with today’s current technology) up to 3 feet away from the body, in all directions. More information can be found on the Heart Math Institute website.
Our emotions leave a palpable trace. Interestingly enough, we walk through life as though if it can’t be seen then it’s undetectable. Clearly, you are getting the picture that this isn’t the case.
I am a firm believer that science is a form of confirmation of what is already known. It is my estimation that these previously mentioned findings will eventually show us that emotions can be detected well beyond 3 feet and that no equipment other than an in-tune human being is required to read them.
Did you know that people who connect with one another while communicating begin to spontaneously entrain with each other? Meaning that they unintentionally start to mimic and synchronize with each other’s gestures, movements, postures, vocal pitch and cadence. Of course, the stronger the connection made the increase in such characteristics. There is even evidence of synchronicity of physiological aspects such as, heart beat and breath. Isn’t that fascinating?
When you are fearful people can sense it. Imagine the beacons we send out to the world around us when we are fearful versus determined. Does it make a difference? Can the frequency our bodies emit influence our situations? Could this be one of many determining factors in victimization?
This is just a small piece of what I refer to as your super powers. I’m very excited to invite you to join me in an online session I’ll be having on March 1st at 8 p.m. EST. I’ll go into detail about a few other key means in which we influence our environments and those around us. You’ll come away with a better understanding of how you can begin to transform your life. Click HERE to sign up. This session is completely free. If you are looking for change or are curious as to how you are contributing to the results you are getting then I’ll see you there! Wishing you a most wonderful week!
